Options for the Microphone Preamplifier

Blue Channel: This circuit's sound is as close as you can get to a valve sound while still being solid state. Harmonically very rich. They are like the stock channels but with more harmonic density at all frequencies straight up and down. It has a really beautiful velvety quality about it.
Add Euro 110.-- / CHF 120.-- per pair of channels.

Cadillac: They are a little mid forward with a high density bottom. The midrange on the Cadillac Channels is defiantly more pronounced and the over all tone is quite nice. The sound stage is slightly set back, compared to the stock black channel.
Add Euro 90.-- / CHF 100.-- per pair of channels.

Uberlux: For all things acoustic.
Add Euro 110.-- / CHF 120.-- per pair of channels.

Retrofit: To retrofit from "stock" to Uberlux or Cadillac is USD 800--. The Retrofit Option includes transformer upgrade, new caps in the audio path, complete disassembly of the unit, board wash, repair where needed and re-calibration. The warranty is extended for 3 more years.

* The Hi pass filter is passive, coupled using a Wima polypropylene capacitor. It is a single pole filter which rolls of the bottom end at 6dB / oct, which has no effect on sound quality.

The LPS-41 Power Supply is designed to power either a dual or a quad channel pre amp. It features almost 40,000 uF of capacitor filtering and is fully regulated. AC ripple and noise is less than 150uV RMS on all DC Rails. It utilizes both EMI/RFI filtering on the AC Mains input and is internally surge protected. All the DC rails are fuse protected as is the AC Mains. The mains voltage can be changed from 120VAC to 220-230VAC operation by an internal toggle switch.


NPNG DI Box diehlio Details

Karl Diehl: "These units do not add noise or distortion (that I can measure). They are discrete class A buffers. Basically, a straight wire with no gain or fixed attenuation of 18dB. The input impedance is 2.5 mega ohms. The output impedance is 50 ohms. They run on phantom power and can be used with any mic pre with phantom power. The concept here is: If you love your pre-amp you will love the diehlio. Using a Fender Jazz bass through a diehlio into an NPNG is just sick! Because of the level of detail, all the sub harmonics come sailing thru... it sounds like it goes down another octave."
